Maureen's Cat Costume
This was Maureen's cat costume in the second act in the show Rent.
I was the costume shop supervisor for this production so I had to oversee the production of all the costumes for this show. For this costume I worked off the designer's rendering to drape out the costume.
The designer wanted the dress to look like something the character could have found and put together so the final costume was to be made out of trash bags. This costume was also a quick change so the back of the top was rigged with buttons so that the change could happen.
